It is important for those who are serving abroad to have the same level of healthcare in-county as they could receive in the United States. This provides assurance and a peace of mind that allows Peace Corps Volunteers to stretch themselves, to better engage with their community, maximizing their effect. As well, for some who are severely injured, it can be extremely difficult to arrange the necessary healthcare back in the United States while also traveling back home with limited communication. As a Retuned Peace Corps Volunteer, I fully support this legislation. Peace Corps Burkina Faso 2012 - 2014
