Women represent better than 50% of the world's population yet are terribly underrepresented in politics and government in general. So large a population must have a larger role in our global future and bring a uniquely female perspective to the table. The decisions to be made are not unilaterally male. The consequences to come will be shared by all sexes. For this reason alone increased female participation is required.

Men certainly haven't done a decent job in keeping the peace.

We would have had Hillary been elected. I guarantee she wouldn’t be throwing silly names back and forth with our foes thus endangering our country even more.

50% of the world should get a good say in world events

Women need to play a bigger role in virtually every political situation. Period, end of story.

Women are the cultivators of life and are statistically significantly less violent. Unless this just something to make the people feel better that this is being considered and governments actually just want to continue to profit from war.. Revert back to matriarchal ideals and values to save our species.

Look at where male decision makers have taken us!

Women have always played the role of holding families and communities together. Where it is men's historical role to charge into battle, it is women's historical role to prepare a meal and bring people to the table. At the table there is talk, breaking bread, and sharing our commonality. We need more of this.

I very much support this. Women have so much to bring to the table but continue to be held back in our patriarchal, misogynistic society. And if you don't believe the above statement is true please just take a look at some of the demeaning nay comments to this question. Some of these folks really have issues with women. Many others argue the best person for the job should get the position. I agree. But they then go on to argue gender should not be a factor in deciding who gets these important positions. The problem with this flawed reasoning of course is that it already is a factor favoring men. Women are half the population yet are still only afforded token representation in positions of leadership and influence. As a general rule, women tend to be better listeners, more empathetic, and more prone to peacekeeping than violence. We would be grand additions in the effort to build peace and harmony and a better world. Especially since we also know a thing or two about mediation and an awful lot about tough love. Again, women have much to offer if only we were more frequently provided the opportunity to contribute. Please support this bill.

I am in support of being purposeful in building diversity into all of the work our government does.

Women are strong and better at compromise than hard headed men who know everything. Give them a chance we men have done a terrible job so far.
