The Obama Administration’s data collection program violates the privacy of people in the U.S. While there should be no data mining, but if it happens, there need to be more regulations to keep the NSA accountable for its surveillance.

Citizens have a right to privacy. The federal government should have to get a warrant before placing citizens under surveillance.
Argument opposed
The federal intelligence community should be given free rein to collect data, so it can effectively protect the country against terrorists. If people have something to hide, perhaps they shouldn't be doing it at all.

This bill doesn't even begin to address the real underlying problems. It merely changes who is housing the data. I fail to see how this makes us any safer from governments desire to have access to every bit of digital information. They will simply build back doors into the corporate data warehouses.

If Americans are abiding by the law, the government has no business surveilling/collecting our phone records, emails, posts, and/or websites we visit. In other words, if you're not doing anything wrong, NO ONE has any business in your business. The civil and constitutional rights of Americans are continually being stripped away. Do we really want the government to be in every facet of our lives? Doing what they want when they want with no due process?
Reform it by eliminate it, it's law enforcement agencies responsibility to monitor activity of suspected criminals. The more power given to the feds the more abuse of power. The DOJ is too big and corrupt . They don't follow the rule of law, they are a political terrorist organization.
Blanket and unwarranted surveillance and recording of personal communications is unconstitutional, period.

Everyone hides things. Passwords, user names, bank account info. Do you think the NSA is immune from having criminals in it organization?
We should never give up our freedoms for a promise of safety. As Ben Franklin said, those who do, deserve neither.
