Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives regarding conduct during a rendition of the National Anthem.
This is inane and distracts from more pressing matters, in addition to being unconstitutional.
Why shouldn't our AMERICAN elected officials have to stand with their right hand over their heart facing "Old Glory" when the National Anthem is playing.
We need to update what we consider appropriate conduct for this country. Consider the context in which the original law was passed.
Freedom of Expression peaceful protest of the anthem representing all of us who have fought for this country.
It's a waste of time to "express the sense" of something. Especially since the conduct is already established US Code.
It goes completely against the first amendment to tell someone how they HAVE to express themselves. Let's worry about other issues instead.
The national anthem has so much historical value. Its anti american to not respect it.
