This obsession with gun violence. When it just VIOLENCE. No one targets or examines the root of the violence, but lets waste time on focusing on the inanimate objects used in the violence.

How about dealing with violence as a whole. Does it really matter if someone is stabbed or shot to death. How about those who were murdered by personal assault? This is just language to go after guns in the private sector.

If you would get people to work instead of giving them handouts they wouldn't be in the streets killing, robbing or committing crimes.

There are already laws on the books for this. There is no need for more. Laws do not prevent criminals from getting guns. There never will be. Laws only prevent law abiding citizens from getting guns, and therefore infringing on 2A rights and self defense. Legal gun owners prevent crime, stop crime, and save lives. The media will never tell you about these stories though, because it doesn't fit there agenda of arming criminals and and making the law abiding statistics. We are arming the criminals this way, like in the FAST AND FURIOUS scandal, but we can't have moms and the elderly be able to stop home invaders?

"...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

No more than you would on other violence.

Gun violence is not a health issue. It is a law/criminal issue. This is a local jurisdiction problem.

The anti-gun lobby is a slightly veiled fascist attempt to disarm honest gun-owning citizens.

This is a law enforcement issue. Laws are already in place. Enforce them.

Violence has been here since the beginning of time and will never go away.There are evil people in the world that believe in their way of life. There is nothing congress can do to stop violence of any kind unless the violence is against them, and it is most likely that members of the government carry guns. The government to include the President of the USA need to encourage our citizens to have the ability to protect their selves against violence. The second amendment should not be toyed with. No one can trick me into believing that it doesn't say what it says. A good start would be a bill that allows for a national gun carry permit. That would make the whole country safe. No foreign entity would parachute out of the sky without meeting with resistance. This is one reason why our country is unique and exceptional. Someone needs to explain this to our President...we the people are his employer.

Ron such thing as gun violence. There is however violence of people on people.

A waste of time. What is this going to do place more laws on legal gun ownership as all the criminals continue to get weapons illegally?

There are laws in place against murder and assault. Let the violators get punished. Creating more laws will not keep people from breaking laws.

Congress will make a bad situation worse. Stay out of it.

Guns don't kill people. They should go after the criminals.
