We should because we need to honor the people that have past away in this horrible attack.and appreciate the heroes that also helped through this attack.

The federal government shouldn’t be awarding competitive grants for the operation, maintenance, and security of 9/11 memorials. It should be funded through private donations, or not at all.

And now we are 17 years into a never ending religious war over WMD that didn’t exits, in a country that wasn’t at fault, to the tune of 2.4 trillion plus interest and rising. Let private donations pay. We have enough bills from that event for 7 generations.

Raise private money for this. Public money for things that benefit us as a society like health care and education, reversing climate change and rebuilding our infrastructure.

I feel whole heartedly for the people who lost family on the day 17 years ago. But I’m pretty sure we can do something else with those funds to honor them... you know... take care of our vets, homelessness, officer training, invest in social workers.... I’m just saying
I believe that 25 million would be better spent on infrastructure and the many other problems people havd. Public schools are in need in every area. Roads and bridges are in unsafe conditions. Mental health is so needed. The list goes on. Yes, remember what happened and every person who died. Private donations work very well.
This is unpatriotic. Those grants are coming right out of the pockets of the citizens, the taxpayers. By all means let people advocate for memorials of the victims of that tragedy. Let people solicit support. But it is an insult to the memory of those victims to memorialize them by stealing money from their neighbors in order to do so. Keep it voluntary.
Need the money for healthcare, infrastructure, education, Medicare, & a prison for potus
We must never forget 9/11. At this point in history, I’d prefer the funds go to Flint, Michigan and Puerto Rico. Take care of today so we don’t have another 9/11.

This seems like a great idea, but just this morning I saw the headline linked below*. We have to learn to prioritize and stop spending money on things that are not esencial,. Lets fund first education and health, and then if there are leftovers then spend on things like this.
No. I don’t support 25 million dollars being spent on this.
I’d rather this money be used to help people stay warm in their homes this winter, especially the elderly.
(I know this is off topic, but why are the needs of our elderly rarely mentioned, ever!)
Monuments honoring the victims of 9/11 can be paid for by private donations.
This is the second "worst day in infamy" we need to remember those who died and gave so much one that day on American soil, just as we remember Pearl Harbor
This has nothing to do with the wars fought in Iraq and Afghanistan after this horrible event, it only applies to the memorials to commemorate this horrible day.
