Should Every Post Office Display the Official Portraits of the President & Vice President?

The Postal Service rule against displaying portraits of the president and vice president in post offices is ridiculous, and anecdotal evidence it’s being selectively enforced is disturbing. People expect to see pictures of government leaders in public buildings, so all post offices should feature portraits of the president and vice president regardless of who is in office.

What is up with this president and post offices? He has renamed nearly every single one of them. Sure, let his picture be on the post office wall; on the one condition that Trump gives up on his other wall.

If some post offices were displaying pictures of obama and that other knucklehead, then they should now display Trump and Pence.

The Postal Service shouldn’t be required to display portraits of the president and vice president in every post office around the country. The regulation prohibiting such portraits needs to remain in place — but it mustn’t be selectively enforced based on the political leanings of local post office managers.

We are facing serious problems in this country and Dan Donovan wants to spend time worrying and pictures of the president and vp in the post office? Do something to prevent nuclear war, protect immigrants, deliver real health care to the people, get net neutrality, quit poisoning the people with dangerous water infrastructure, protect small farms, make private and religious and charter schools pay their own way and properly fund public education. Portraits on the post office wall? Really-you couldn’t think of anything else to do?

So, after criticizing the post office to no end, they’re supposed to revere the president? No. Thank. You. There’s more important things than this to focus on.
Why is this a thing? This is a waste of time and tax payer money AND it’s an obvious performance for an audience of 1. Get on with the Peoples business. Infrastructure, Common sense gun control, Immigration legislation, DACA, Education...

Until every child has healthy food and excellent healthcare, our taxpayer dollars don’t stretch far enough to do this. This is not how to instill national pride. Rather it would be considered an insult to many citizens who believe trump and pence are trying to do away with our civil rights and our respect internationally. Putting their portraits in post offices would very likely be seen as bully tactics, and i would bet money that the representative who proposed this idea knew that from the git-go.

Why? I have never seen a picture of any president at my local post office.
Why on earth would tax dollars be spent on this ridiculous idea? Unless the PO prints up grainy B/W photos and places them next to the most wanted pictures, then NO!

It’s not the current USPS rule that’s ridiculous, it’s this bill that’s ridiculous. Of all bills that our politicians could propose, they propose this? Having portraits of the President and VP adds too much of a partisan atmosphere to your local post office. This sounds like something an authoritarian ruler would want.
