Should the U.S. Deny Visas to Those Who’ve Undermined Democracy & Committed Human Rights Violations in Cambodia?

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has brutally quashed democracy and human rights in his country in order to stay in power. This should be condemned by the U.S., and those who’ve perpetrated crimes against democracy and human rights should be denied entry to the U.S.

Cambodia leads by dictator Hun Sen is skewing backward from democracy. Paris Peace Accord of 1991 has been violated by his regime. Thus all the powers under his grip right now. Please help restore democracy in Cambodia by voting YES to support this HR:526

Keep war criminals out. Don't give them a place of refuge here. Take the refugees fleeing this oppressive regime, leave the oppressors to their fate.

It's laughably hypocritical for the USA, who tears babies away from their moms and puts them in concentration camps for extended periods of time, to even mention other countries atrocities. But that's what Trump does: lower the bar a notch down every day.

The U.S. already committed to restricting entry to people involved in Cambodian action to undermine democracy at the end of 2017, so while this bill is well-intended it’s unnecessary.

I somewhat agree with this, but the inner workings of the Cambodian government isn’t something we should be meddling in. In fact, some could even argue doing so is “collusion.”

The world must know the truth about Hun Sen: Hun Sen's not a legitimate Prime Minister of Cambodia. Hun Sen committed crimes against humanity. Hun Sen's a Dictator. Therefore he must be prosecuted in ICC. Finally Hun Sen must be locked up.
If we have a list of morals that we chose to keep, then we should uphold it. You know like the constitution.

How can the United States condemn anyone when we have our own human rights issues we ignore everyday. Not just at the border, but across minority communities all over the country. We are a do as I say not as I do country that continues to say one thing in the constitution and another to minority citizens.
Yes, but we have plenty of representatives and "leaders" trying to quash human rights in America. Not saying we shouldn't do something about attacks on democracy or inalienable human rights anywhere/anytime, but let's not let our pot go around calling kettles black.
This bill will surely teach them a lesson about violating human rights for political power over others. As one of the largest nations with one of the least amounts of corruption, we should be an example to other nations on how to govern correctly.
Yes, deny visas -- there is precious little we can do to make our values known, and this is one of them.
Duh. Why would we want to allow folks from outside our country who don’t adhere to an international moral code into our country? Who does that serve?
