Fort Frederica National Monument Boundary Expansion Act

Official Title

To expand the boundary of Fort Frederica National Monument in the State of Georgia, and for other purposes.

Summary

Fort Frederica National Monument Boundary Expansion Act (Sec. 2) This bill expands the boundary of the Fort Frederica National Monument on St. Simons Island, Georgia, and increases the maximum number of acres that may be included in the monument from 250 to 305 acres. The Department of the Interior may acquire, by donation or purchase, the land and interests within the monument only from willing sellers. Interior may not acquire land or interests by condemnation or eminent domain.

    I have voted yay on numerous bills this week pertaining to land expansion, national parks/monuments and the conservation there of. I would just like to express a slight hesitation. With a number of these land expansion bills being presented in the house, which are sponsored by republicans, and expected to pass a majority republican congress, I am a bit skeptical of their validity. I have never been one to stereotype something with a democrat or republican label, but after the 8 long and tumultuous years of the Obama era republican blockade and this new joke of a congress that you have become under this wannabe dictator guy, I have this innate fear that this is all a rouse. A cleverly presented, double-spoken way to thieve more land for you to sell to the highest campaign contributor. Maybe it's time for you to think about improving your image? As of right now, I would say it lands somewhere near... that long table of evil henchman from some Hollywood 'good vs. evil' movie, drooling and frothing over their new super-villain leader who has just devised the perfect plan to take over the world just to burn it all to the ground. The wide eyed, crazed, ghoulish thugs who would do anything & everything just to be praised (or just... not get murdered) by the mad monster at the head of the table. You guys should definitely work on that.
