Seems hypocritical for a Congress that isn't doing its job to withhold pay from someone because that Congress believes that person isn't doing their job.

Withholding pay is a childish way to try to get people to do what you want. If they aren't doing their jobs they should be removed from their jobs, but withholding pay until they do what we want is like telling kids they can't have dessert until they clean their room. Inane, childish and not at all respectable.

Congress isn't having pay withheld for achieving absolutely nothing. Why should the DHS? This is another empty bill, full of "horses and circuses" intended to mislead the American public. It would take substantial sums of funding that the DHS does not have due to Congress shenanigans. If our current Republican Congress was actually honest and ethical, we wouldn't even be discussing this. The DHS would receive the funds they need to be effective instead of slaps on the hands for not achieving goals that are NOT achievable unless adequate funding is made. A bill to withhold the pay of our Republican Congressmen, who are doing everything possible to destroy the governance of our country, WOULD be appropriate. I will vote for that.
