Official Title

To repeal the section of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 that requires the Federal Communications Commission to reallocate and auction the T-Band spectrum.

Summary

Don't Break Up the T-Band Act of 2019 This bill repeals the requirement for the Federal Communications Commission to reallocate and auction the 470-512 MHz band (referred to as the "T-Band spectrum"). The T-Band spectrum is a frequency range currently utilized by public-safety entities in certain urban areas.

    I wish I knew more about this bill. It looks like I'll be 'Googling' in the near future to find out what the T-Band actually is, what it does and why someone might have wanted to auction off the T-Band MHz spectrum in certain urban areas. I'm impressed that party lines seem to be of no particular significance in this instance--at least not in the House.....Quite the rarity in our newest, hate-filled, confused and ill-willed version of a Nay-shun.
