FISA Amendments Reauthorization Act of 2017

Official Title

To amend the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 to improve foreign intelligence collection and the safeguards, accountability, and oversight of acquisitions of foreign intelligence, to extend title VII of such Act, and for other purposes.

    The fisa amendments act turned the fisa Court into a dangerous tool to hand out blanket warrants from a closed court. These have been used on numerous occasions to surveil American citizens, in direct contravention of our rights, and the original intention of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

    This goes against the 1st and 4th amendments to the Constitution and is a tool used by dictators.

    This authorises the worst domestic spying abuses of the expiring law. Further restriction is needed instead. Reject this offense to citizens' rightful freedom to privacy from our own government.
