Alternative measures can be taken to protect livestock. Lethal force should be an option of last resort. Studies have shown wolves promote balance and biodiversity to ecosystems they have been reintroduced to (i.e. Yellowstone).

If this bill is enacted, more wolves will die. Wolves are an essential part of the ecosystem in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. They help maintain a natural and healthy balance of all creatures, benefitting the land and humans. This bill must be opposed.

Wolves need our protection. They are necessary in an environment. Don't let prejudice influence science.

Wolves have just begun to recover in some areas of the US after being ruthlessly hunted and trapped for 200 years. While there are some fragile successes, grey wolves are still missing from a vast majority of their former range, and are subject to mounting persecution in areas where they have been restored.

Millions of dollars have already been spent restoring a natural ecosystem with reintroduction of wolves and other keystone predators such as Grizzly Bears. These animals are proven to be crucial for health of prey animals and onward down the food chain. They are only still restricted to a very small area, and livestock fatalities have been an extremely small, if not negligable casualty, especially when weighed against the benefits of wolf reintroduction and protection.

Wolves are the spirit of the wilderness. We've worked so hard to reintroduce them into our wild lands this bill could drive them to extinction once again. Haven't we learned anything? Wolves are an important part of the ecosystem. Please vote no to this bill to slaughter them
