Marijuana has been proven time and time again to be multiple times less harmful than alcohol. Marijuana should be taken off schedule 1 so more in depth research can legally happen. Marijuana should also be decriminalized and taxed. The war on something as non-dangerous as marijuana is costly to the United States with millions in prison for nonviolent drug offences and the human costs because the black market for the drugs in both the United States and Mexico. We must be reasonable and compassionate when it comes to marijuana regulation, decriminalization and taxation. It would help millions and be a massive influx of money to the federal and state governments.

More tax money for the state and less taxpayer money spent on non violent offenders in prison.
