Funding studies to make renewable energy more efficient would be good for our country. Government should make policies to protect the environment based on scientific research. Make it clear that you understand that serving the environment serves the people of our country.

The department of energy needs to be completely defended and the government needs to stop wasting money on research projects. Let the private sector fund and do the research.

Private industry will do this, the private sector is more efficient,
Anything that can be done to make energy production more efficient is always welcome it will result in lower costs to produce and also lower costs to purchase.

The private sector is more than capable of researching the efficiency of gas turbines. GE even has a division dedicated to gas turbines.
This can and should be carried out by the private sector. When did we get the idea that the federal government needed to be involved in EVERYTHING?! Oh, I get it! It MUST be the brainchild of the architects of the Agenda 21 (now morphed into Agenda 30) plan. They aim for global governance and control of EVERYTHING under the guise of the "greater good".
Leave this to private companies to make turbines more efficient. Every time the government gets involved lots of money is spent and not much happens. Leave this to private companies.
The gas turbine industry is best equipped to innovate within their field. More efficient gas turbines are cheaper to run, and thus there is incentive for the end user to "invest" in newer, more efficient products, creating incentive for forward-thinking manufacturers to bring a more efficient turbine to market. Using taxpayer money to pick a well-connected winner or two within the industry for the greater global good is bad policy, and, more often than not, doesn't work. This is just the kind of "crony capitalism" that has recently given capitalism a bad name.

No. Let private industry develop the product. When government attempts to develop a product the have a unique way to screw it up, cost overruns, and politics get in the way.
We should be moving away from fossil fuels, not encouraging more development of them.
Only to benefit the corporations so their profitability can be more efficient stop trying to put the research on the back of American taxpayers
We should be investing more money in being more efficient in providing energy as well as reducing pollution. This bill promises to do so.
