Animal rights activists give the impression that they care more about animal suffering more than they care about human suffering. MANY, IF NOT ALL OF THEM, CARE GREATLY ABOUT ENDANGERED ANIMALS, BUT DON'T CARE AT ALL ABOUT ABORTION TAKING THE LIVES OF MILLIONS OF UNBORN HUMAN BABIES! I resent that!
I deplore the needless cruelty that many animals suffer at the hands of their owners, but if you want to limit or prohibit the use of animals as test subjects, how about FIRST outlawing the use of ALL known toxic chemicals from products that are meant to be used by HUMANS! I consider HUMANS to have greater value than animals. God created animals for our benefit!
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
(Genesis 1:26 NKJV)
Countable member Loraki is right. Human life overrules animal life. We are all here to manage God's creation and serve each other selflessly. However, we are not here to serve animals, they're here to serve us. We certainly have a responsibility to protect and care for animals because they're all God's creatures. Yet, we cross a dangerous ethical line when we choose to equalize animal life with human life. Animals have no inherent rights but are to be valued as part of God's Kingdom and for what they provide to us.
Another glass hammer to keep us distracted from real issues like poison in our vaccines, GMO, fluorine in our water. I am a great animal lover my best friend of 16 yrs I had to put him down because of lung cancer and I have grieved for Jax every single day since his passing. But this thought projection that animals are more important is what I greatly oppose of I understand the selling of fetus at abortion clinics is a profitable one and yes I've heard it ends up in cosmetics! Where is the outrage on that. We are suppose to be a nation, harmony with diversity, instead chaos, the Lucifer agenda is in full view, this is just another rat trail from its greedy maker to get those asleep to accept that they are lower than animals or AI the human is dead last.
I agree that we have to do some testing on animals for medical issues but I'm not ok with it for cosmetics. I worked in medical industry and was in charge of maintaining facility that they did teaching on pigs and beagles. While these sweet animals could have been returned to farms or homes unharmed by what was practiced on them we were required by law to have them euthanized and documented. I hate the way our laws are regarding animals. "The greatness of a nation can be determined by the way it's animals are treated"--Mahatma Ghandi
Every opinion here that is against the Act is coming from people citing religious excuses that do not address the subject matter, and instead raise other unrelated topics, which is an abuse of this platform. This is not a religious issue. And note that countless millions of people do not share your religion and/or your interpretations of that religion. I am not an activist, nor a vegan. I simply do not support cruelty, and it is especially appalling as it relates to cosmetics. The judgements made against activists here are unjustified and inaccurate in my experience. There is an arrogance in assuming your religious beliefs are somehow above the beliefs of others, and using your religion as an excuse to justify one from of cruelty above another speaks volumes about how disturbing your beliefs actually are.
I can't believe this bill hasn't been passed yet. We have far more humane and effective methods of testing available. It is simply archaic to continue testing on animals as a country, when so many countries such as India, the EU, and Norway have already placed a national ban on it.
There is absolutely no reason in this day and age that animals need to be used for cosmetic testing. I have been cruelty-free for years and there are plenty of great products that are not tested on animals. Let's make ALL products great by not testing them on animals, and leave animals alone. I don't need a rabbit sitting in a cage with burning skin for the sake of beauty or skincare. There are numerous alternative methods for testing cosmetics to ensure that they are safe for human use.
