As member of two union memberships, it's disheartening to see a lack of respect, for not only unions but the other 95% of the workforce. Last I looked unions represented only 5% of our workforce. I maybe wrong but check it. All we want is a fair wage for skilled pay. The lack of knowledge and history of NLRB and unions came about because people needed them, at a time when necessity for workers rights was sorely needed. A lot of people think of unions as a bunch of selfish, fat, lazy, crying, underworked, and over paid slugs. Well I won't deny that there are some among us. Just remember, this about us and that is we fight for you and yours as well as our families. Unions are the reason for the 8 hr work day, child labor laws, a living wage, collective bargaining etc. Today that is what some would call "socialist" lol, well if you want to say that, your entitled to your opinion and I respect that. Just try to remember also we don't want to take over everything, we just want to get a piece of the pie. The pie that , fat, lazy, underworked, overpaid slug have gluttony ate off the backs of workers since the Industrial Age in America. Our unions paved the way for us to have a voice in our job safety, pay, and dignity. Real honest workers literally died so that they might have a glint of hope, to be safe at work, have a set hour of rest,a fair wage. It's true there has been abuses and greedy back room deals done. But the union life I know and love is honest hard working people who are skilled and trained to do a job. A job we do with pride a job that we enjoy, the same as any other worker. Thing is we don't fault non union people if they want to make their living at the company who doesn't care about the welfare of employees. Just the bottom line
This would give employers unlimited time to prepare a proposal in response to employees' petition for a union election, stalling the vote for as long as they want. This would be completely unfair towards employees and only benefit bosses. I hope this does not pass. It should be every employees right to have union representation and in order to decide if they want it they should be able to have a free and fair election. It's sad that our 2 party system has made conservative leaders so anti-worker.
What rules are in place already? Is this a measure to assist unionization like card check? Or conversely one to prevent the socialist President from dictating his and George SOROS' will? I don't know enuf to want this change.

"no limit on time to prepare" sounds like businesses wrote this bill to cut unions down and prevent any future employees from participating in unionization.
Unions can be a blessing or a death sentence. If a union truly represents its people they should have a say as to weather or not to join unions on the other hand should not make unreasonable demands either. Just my opinion
The right of workers to form a union is part of their constitutional rights and are spelled out in the NLRA. Workers have lost a lot of opportunities in keeping up with the Cost ov Living. Unions are the only organizations that continue to fight for working families. This Bill will present a big disadvantage to working people trying to peacefully organize .
Unions matter. If you disagree, just try working for an employer who does not protect your rights, who denies you a cost of living raise indefinitely, denies you union organization (and fires those who speak out--and gets away with it). No union, no voice. Don't think that can happen, think again. It does, and in all professions.
