Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) argued in his press release supporting this bill's companion in the Senate that the bill would protect business projects from being impacted by the EPA’s political goals:
“EPA has clearly taken liberties with its authority during the permitting process for important job creating projects, and I am very concerned the trend will continue. Reintroducing this legislation is crucial to protecting the rights of American businesses and preventing a disincentive to investing in America.”

Government agencies like the Army Corps of Engineers and EPA need to work together, and quickly, to make sound permitting decisions. Agencies "vetoing" each others decisions is a prime example of why people detest federal bureaucracy.

Since when did we elect the EPA to have any voting powers isn't this the responsibility of congress. The bill should read should congress has been allowed to negate their responsibilities that they have been elected to do but instead they engage in government waste and give away their authority which is nether constitutional or representing the voters

Environmental assessments are not static. The EPA should have the flexibility to restrict or revoke permits that could endanger the surrounding environment.

The EPA should be eliminated! The states should be the ones to say what goes in their territories.
As long as the EPA has sufficient time to review intentions prior to the army core of engineers giving the permit, I don't see what the big deal is.
As a taxpayer I do not want to pay for Pollution, Industry wastes dumps and releasing more climate warming pollutants. Let's put our resources to reliable sustainable resources and leave more resources in the ground
I'm tired of congress trying to gut any environmental guards set up to protect this country. I'm ready to require congress people wear their corporate sponsors names on their clothing so we can see what company is pressing for less safeguards on their greed.
I don't find there to be a valid reason why the Army Corps of Engineers shouldn't be allowed to be issued permits to do what they've bee doing for decades.
The EPA is too close to the UN's Agenda 21. The army core of engineers are more responsible and should have the final say. The EPA should be advisory only.
Time to have all projects driven by environmental concerns. Our world can only take so much before it collapses. The world is not only the domain of corporations but humans as well.

Again, the army corps of engineers are builders, not environmental experts. They screwed up the Everglades and now we are paying billions to reverse the mess they made 50 years ago.
