Key Lawmakers Join Trump in Calling for Repeal Without Replace
Join us and tell your reps how you feel!
Early Friday morning, President Donald Trump urged congressional Republicans to repeal Obamacare without any replacement plan in place if they can’t reach an agreement on their health care bill. Key GOP senators have joined that call, and even took it a step further by suggesting the Senate should work through at least part of its month-long August recess to get it done.
The president tweeted:
If Republican Senators are unable to pass what they are working on now, they should immediately REPEAL, and then REPLACE at a later date!

The tweet was in response to a letter from Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE). The letter, posted on Twitter, asked for the president’s help enlisting Congress to vote again on a 2015 Obamacare repeal law. It also called for Congress to cancel the annual August recess and work six days a week to get a repeal plan drafted by Labor Day.
I would note @BenSasse just sent a letter to POTUS calling for immediate repeal, replace later if a deal can't be reached pic.twitter.com/khTQRRaOv5

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) also endorsed the idea:
I have spoken to @realDonaldTrump & Senate leadership about this and agree. Let's keep our word to repeal then work on replacing right away.
