Welcome to Tuesday, November 29th, chimneys and fireplaces...
Protests in China erupted this past weekend over COVID restrictions after an apartment building fire in the city of Urumqi took ten lives.
Mass protests spread across the country over the frustration of these deaths, which many claimed to be avoidable, combined with the ongoing burden of China’s restrictive COVID policy. These strict conditions have led to makeshift barricades and blockaded emergency exits to keep people inside, which many believe prevented the Urumqi residents from receiving help.
Should China do away with its strict "zero-COVID" policy?

Interesting article about compulsive lying as a mental illness. Obviously the most famous person who does this on a regular basis is the disgraced twice impeached former Potus. He also created the biggest lie ever, just to appease his ego. One would think a mental health professional would have a field day if they could treat him.
Your thoughts? I stuck this over here so not to be limited to 2 visible replies. I'm gifting the article so it's not behind a paywall.

If you're planning on giving this Giving Tuesday, make sure you research the organization first on a site such as CharityNavigator. A worthy nonprofit should spend the majority of its money on its mission, not on marketing or salaries.
Also, maybe organizations that are receiving large donations from philanthropists don't need you. Find a group that needs those small donations more!
