@Jim2423, sorry you feel that way about Trump.  How does anyone lead efficiently and effectively when your constantly defending yourself from a false dossier and Russia collusion and a media that takes EVERYTHING you say and turn it into a different scenario?  Or when you have left overs from the previous administration or Clinton supporters that are the so called whistle blowers on how THEY feel things should be run.  Or the FBI AND DOJ being snakes with Strok and Page looking for ways to unseat him, not to mention Brennan and Clapper, and then Congress constantly building cases with one investigation after another.  This was daily.  I thought he did a good job policy wise.  He did a lot of good for this country.  Being argumentative when someone is jabbing you at every turn is something I wouldn't blame anyone for.  Unless you like what's going on now?  

After all it was just a couple weeks ago when Jill Biden said in Joe's defense that there's just so much going on all at once!

Our democracy is in peril because wealthy conservative financiiers and politically powerful people have become accustomed to lying and to bending the rules in their favor. The Republican Party has institutionalized disinformation and bending the rules to help them win their war with Democrats, justifying doing so because their views are more ‘righteous’ and personally financially rewarding and after-all, they are at ‘war’, which is a justification to support the ‘ends’ of winning with little consideration of whatever ‘means’ they may use.

Our democracy is predicated upon the notion that, for any issue, the majority of the people are mostly honest and honor constitutional precepts, and that they collectively will make the best decision. All of that is gone once political parties morph into political factions that exist for their own interests and not the interests of either the Constitution or the country.

Factions will use disinformation to convince their supporters that their alternate facts, which are seemingly plausible conclusions derived from other seemingly plausible conclusions none of which are grounded in any actual facts. This gives individuals with some biases, even unconscious, the permission to accept the alternate reality of alternate facts that rewards and amplifies their biased views. Since supporters of an opposing viewpoint with either solid facts or their own set of alternate realities are starting with a different set of facts, there is no common basis from which any reasonable dialog can start. 

ALL OF THIS challenges the notion that the majority of our congressional representatives can come up with any majority of un-compromised congresspeople of good will to come up with the best solution for any issues of import. The misuse of public and social media has amplified the factionalization of our country. The non-fact checked, peddlers of disinformation masquerading as ‘news’ sources have found that peddling disinformation to feed the biases of their target audience to be very profitable. Whenever political power succeeds in overturning the will of the people and make use of unprincipled media outlets to promote alternate facts, our democracy will be broken and will be very difficult to repair. 

We came very close to this in the 2020 presidential election and the Republican Cartel. With the help of the Federalist Society Supreme Court Justices as well as the RNC coordination of Republican State legislatures and AG’s to eliminate the few responsible people and/or State institutions each of whom responsibly blocked the trump’s efforts to overturn the will of the people. When a President misuses the powers of the office of the President entrusted to him, to overturn the will of the people - as measured by their ability to freely and fairly vote and have their votes counted, our democracy is threatened. If anyone succeeds in using the political powers entrusted to them to change election results and over-rule or silence the voice of the people, our democracy will end.

It is the fundamental precept of our Constitution and our country that elected officials are chosen by the people’s vote and not by the will of the elected officials. If this fails, our democratic experiment will come to an end.

Many will blame the trump for this, but the problem started long ago when Gingrich started the ‘war’ with Democrats that required strong party positions with a regimented block-voting membership to win elections. It has fermented and grown and is now the threat to our democracy. The trump has been the malignant narcissistic sociopath that accelerated the path toward autocracy that the Republican Cartel was already 

I was and feel I am a Republican at heart. My concerns are; did not President Trump learn or remember what happened to Hillary? Did not former President Trump receive some kind of briefing by National Security before he left the White House as to what he could and could take with him? I realize his is not one of our better Leadership quality people, but hopefully he is not totally stupid. I can not believe that. I can not believe his lies and misgivings to the public.my biggest disappointment is he never even created a ditch to begin draining the swamp. He just created his own bog. He had capable people to advise him, but he fired them. Except the biggest Rat of all, Juliani. Trump is past his prime, he had the best opportunity to turn us around. He started, then let it fall. He became engrossed in himself and forgot about all those that supported and relied on him. We need a younger person, not Cruz, Hawley or that Georgia peach, but someone to take over where he left off. And remembers why they are elected. All politicians have turned away from the working class people. It is the working class that make business boom or die. It is the working class that make billionaires. It is the working class that make education, military, law enforcement, fire protection, hospitals, doctors, dentists, social services, highways, airports, aircraft, buses, EVs, trucks, autos,heavy equipment, electrical grids, etc.

1) 50 years old should be sure to get the 2 shot Shingles series

2) 60 years old should get both Pneumonia vaccines.

3) Everyone should get Covid & Flu vaccines but those over 50, and those with comorbidities of all ages are most at risk for severe outcomes.
