- President Joe Biden signed Democrats’ climate change, tax, and healthcare bill into law on Tuesday.
“In this historic moment, Democrats sided with the American people, and every single Republican in the Congress sided with the special interests in this vote. Every single one.”
- The House on Friday approved the measure on a party-line vote of 220-207. It passed the Senate earlier in the week with Vice President Kamala Harris breaking a 50-50 tie in the upper chamber.

Update - August 12, 2022:
- U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has said the House of Representatives will vote on the Inflation Reduction Act on Friday, August 12.
- The Democrat-controlled lower chamber is expected to pass the massive climate, prescription drug, and spending bill.
- The bill will then head to the White House, where President Joe Biden will sign it into law.
- Senate Democrats passed the act Sunday by a vote of 51 to 50 along party lines, with Vice President Kamala Harris providing the tie-breaking vote.
