Welcome to Thursday, June 30th, bacon and eggs...
The UAE announced it will ban screenings of Disney Pixarâs newest animated movie âLightyearâ because of a same-sex kiss.
UA Media Regulatory Office Executive Director Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi said that the film was banned due to on-screen depictions of âhomosexualâ characters. The film features a kiss between two women.
The news comes despite the UAE announcing it would no longer censor films last year. Homosexuality and same-sex relationships remain illegal in the country.
What do you think of the UAE and other countriesâ movie censoring?

Independence Day is pretty meaningless after Trumpâs Catholic Supreme Court took it away from women. Â âDonât Tread On Meâ and âGive Me Liberty or Give Me Deathâ does not matter to them. Â They donât even know why America was born because they are in a fetal stage and not human yet!
Let's end sex discrimination against women. Protect the ability of women to make choices about their own healthcare, family size, and reproductive future.
Let's not forget how history was made today. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson will take her place on the court, which will be the first time four women are on the court at one time...one step closer to equal!
