@Brian, the vaccines actually don’t work, at least not as they are claimed to be effective. This scientific data can be found among multiple papers, studies, medical research, etc. if you care to look into it. The differences between the spike protein being injected into the blood stream versus passing through the air is considerable which is why studies show that those who have been vaccinated store these proteins in their lymph nodes whereas those with natural immunity do not. The bodies immune system works more effectively in that the mucous membranes stop the proteins from entering the body in most cases. This begs the question if harm is being caused by the vaccines when there is the potential for altering the human genome and how it responds to the spike protein. In addition, studies show that those who are vaccinated, when tested for covid, test negative even though they are infected with the virus because of how the vaccine response interacts with the tests. This is why reports of serious Covid illness among those vaccinated is under-reported. If you research the actual data, you will find in fact the vaccines do not work as they are purported to do, and there remain many questions and concerns related to the long term effects. The propaganda about the efficacy of the vaccines is far and wide as a result of the underlying agenda and profiteering of those such as media organizations, lobbying for big pharm, among many other corruptions within our systems. Their goal is not the best interest of others, but themselves.

Causes/Countable is and was intended as an informative and impartial view of Congressional business and activities, providing an opportunity to cast a vote and have your representative informed of your position. At least that's how I remember it. Too many that visit and comment on the site instead treat Causes like their personal political playground. Accusing others of misinformation while self-distributing their own emotionally influenced falsehoods or ill-informed opinions which is itself misinformation. Some responses to this specific topic are actually calling for censorship of those whose opinions they dislike. That's not how it works children. You are not the final word on how the earth rotates. Many of you are in dire need of a self-improvement campaign as it is evident by your comments that your commitment to "the party" has left you very sad and unhappy. Try a new approach. Begin with a self-examination of conscience. Maybe tune out MSDNC and CNN. Also, read the full content of the summaries and search the sources Causes provides before pounding your keyboard. Think back to when you read a newspaper. Left to right, top to bottom not just the headline. No, this is not yours or "the party" site to manipulate to your opinions while cancelling any that are contrary. Grow up and appreciate rather than criticize the app. Better yet, start your own and then you can filter all content. Seriously, dispose of your petulance and be an adult rather than an adolescent tiktoker. You're really not that important in the overall picture. It could be far worse. Think Russia and Ukraine. What is happening in Moscow right now is just a more extreme version of what some of you are promoting. My opinion versus your opinion is not endangering you as some of you hysterically suggest. Get over yourself. It's called dialogue.

Life is change. Change can make things better or worse or neither. So it goes. Having said that, I agree with those who found previous changes unhelpful. I also agree with those who say management should have asked. I am mindful of the rule of thumb for free services, the participants are not the end user, they are the product; our information is the commodity. But then I got busy and couldn't listen in anyway. 11:00am meeting, who does that?

I admit missed the "PST." Basically would have listened in an out. Oh well... Will review the summary. Any video of meeting? Nevermind.

@targeted — You are descending into 😈trolling👿. An effective approach. Not! Do some heavy lifting for us poor, ignorant, misguided souls. Bring us references and bring us links. I actually wasn't that interested in the Russian oil topic, but since targeted accused me: https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/verify/verify-united-states-imports-crude-oil-petroleum-from-russia-not-major-source/65-ce3e3ff2-7078-4c40-b57f-3db1ca8e62a4; https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2022/03/02/oil-from-russia-gas-prices-america/9343178002/?gnt-cfr=1; https://www.afpm.org/newsroom/blog/oil-and-petroleum-imports-russia-explained I don't really care whether we buy from Russia. I care more about dependence on fossil fuels as whole, and I hope this $4+ gas can push more people to renewables and electric vehicles. That said, it would be nice if we could get our government to stop buying from ALL "red states", including Saudi Arabia.

@targeted, I'm so sorry you don't know the difference between facts and opinions. I'm ok with people's posting opinions on here, but disinformation like "vaccines don't work" are both false and dangerous. And those should not be allowed on a private platform where you have no guarantee of free speech.

I don’t really want this to turn into a stupid social media app. Can’t y’all stay focused on what we are here for? None of the last changes were helpful. Almost everything since Countable has been worse and not better.

I’d be more optimistic about this if past changes had been more positive, and if Causes could actually update my representation since my address is now in a different district (both state Senate and federal House). Seems like that should be pretty basic given that it’s part of the original impetus for the app…

I agree with the comments below. The changes that have been made so far are not improvements, they are distractions. To improve and enhance the features of the site, it would be great to have a direct link to the bills and ability to better engage with representatives and government to voice the opinions of their constituents. Corporations and CEOs do not snd should not impact legislation and policy initiatives. That’s the problem, NOT the solution. Big corporations don’t need to be lobbying and engaged in legislation. The people run the government, not corporations. Corporations shouldn’t even be relevant in these conversations, yet you’re increasing their participation and ultimate control of policy by virtue of prioritizing their role! This site is becoming increasingly more propagandized and no different than the echo chamber most folks on here already live in. It’s pathetic and so obvious. This site is going the wrong direction, just like all the other social media sites. Soon I suppose I’ll just delete this one too just like all the others. Yet another waste of time…
