Embattled Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt had tasked a former aide to help secure a job for his wife with a salary of $200,000 or more a year, the Washington Post reports.
The details: The report said that a former top aide to Pruitt, Samantha Dravis, was questioned by congressional investigators last week about her ex-boss' questionable spending and management habits. Dravis reportedly revealed that Pruitt had asked her to reach out to the Republican Attorneys General Association, where both she and Pruitt had previously worked, to inquire about a job for his wife, Marilyn. Dravis said she declined to do so. Note: The Post had previously reported that Pruitt tried to use his Cabinet position to get his wife a job as a Chick-fil-A franchisee.
