FDA Gives Full Approval to Pfizer COVID Vaccine

Can somebody give a good answer? Early on, when the Pro-Life Republicans were running the show, their best advice was to ignore the virus and get to work or die trying. We now have three vaccines, one fully approved. So why aren't these same Republicans saying we have vaccines, take one of them, and get to work? They can even say the risk is minimal, but if you're concerned, check with your primary care physician, make your Doctor a VIP number on your phone. But no. I do not understand. Is it Political Gamesmanship? Contrarianism? Investment in COVID-related drugs? What?

Causes hasn't posted a single COVID story since 24 August. The reporting is that COVID Cases are worsening and not just in Red States. On cable they were saying things are currently bad in Tennessee, however "As of September 6, 2021, the state with the highest number of COVID-19 cases was California (4,418,368 cases). Illinois, #6.Georgia, #7. Pennsylvania , #8. Ohio, #9. North Carolina, & #10. New Jersey. (Well over 1 million cases each.) Tennessee is #11. (1,071,125). The state with the least number of COVID is my adopted state of Vermont! Still, it has 28,994 cases in a state with a population of 643,503 as of the 2020 Census. (I expected a higher number with tourism.) (I consider these numbers mere ball park estimates, not definitive, just a place to start.)

However, Ron DeSantis and other Florida lawmakers have lied to their constituents. We do not take people who lie kindly in this state. You all will pay a political price for your actions and inactions. Keeping quiet does not save our state GOP leaders. Children, teachers, and female voters are paying dearly for your behaviors. The leading contenders seem more about building resistance: Vitamins C, D, and the mineral zinc. Also, for some reason, some form of elderberries. Pursuing these claims one can find many sites now extolling the virtues of elderberries. Some quaint named sites provide recipes and other sites sell fresh or dried elderberries. Who knew?! Evidently the idea caught on quietly, but look at the number of different kinds of elderberry gummies for sale on Amazon. Are there any data suggesting that elderberry would do the same for COVID-19? It was easier with hydroxychloroquine. Interesting that the natural remedy crowd has been relatively quiet. I did learn about another whole world of strange. Search for "people who eat harmful things." That reminded me of stupid things we heard about and maybe did as Middle Schoolers. It is time to demand the removal of Gov. DeSantis for the out and out genocide of thousands of Floridians! We forced Cuomo to resign for good reasons, but they pale in comparisons to the death and suffering DeSantis and the other Republican governors are inflicting on their states.

However, there are some that will never agree and the more you try to force it the more resistance you'll get - just like trying to force a child to east something they don't want to try. Many have bad memories of past experiments tried on military or minority communities. So it isn't so much the political issue the media portrays since many not vaccinated are from hospital personnel, military, minority communities. Instead of forcing it would be better to provide rewards or incentives and not persecute those that still do not wish to get them. Like the common flu, we need to learn to live with it - educate but stop all the restrictions that are only harming the economy and trust in govt as the information keeps changing as more information becomes available or different opinions within the scientific community that sometimes gets censored for not following the accepted views of those in power.

Yes for those who have legitimate medical concerns. For the rest, home schooling, loss of job, and enforced mask mandates should do the trick. Your liberty does not supersede my life and pursuit of happiness.

Not only are the idiot Republicans refusing to get vaccinated and now injecting themselves with animal drugs, ivermectin - If they didn’t have children it would be hilarious, I think the children should probably be taken from them is there not fit to have children. Republican party is right on path to wipe out 5 to 10% of their ranks. It’s absolutely pathetic to see how it on educated and stupid these people really are. It’s sad. And these are the people that are trumps biggest supporters uneducated vulnerable easily led to the easiest thing to do.

The FDA approval will get move some people to get vaccinated who previously held out. With FDA full approval, businesses and venues are much more free to mandate vaccinations. The States are empowered to simply mandate vaccinations. The Federal Government can as well in the context of not spreading a pandemic across state lines. I think that requiring proof of vaccination to be employed or to go to various entertainment venues will help. … … … The other way is to add a healthy surcharge for anyone needing hospitalization with a Covid infection if they were offered a vaccination which they declined to accept. I mean we are not communists or evil socialists after all, and no responsible person should be required to indirectly pay for the added medical expenses required when someone ignores public health guidance.

Testing still isn’t done yet. Will be years. And I have natural immunity from Delta. I worked in retail throughout the pandemic and it took at least 18 months for me to get that. And mandates should not be happening. My body, my choice. My kids, my choice.

In the past it took many years for a vaccine to get full FDA approval, and many use this fact as an excuse to not get vaccinated. With the broad emergency use authorization and the need to get people vaccinated, we already have more data on this vaccine’s efficacy and safety than was even possible to collect in the past. It was not sparingly tested on select groups over years and years. It was rapidly distributed world wide in large measures and with detailed follow up protocols which would not even be possible in past vaccination programs. This vaccine has more data available than any which has been approved in the past. The speed of the approval is quite simply irrelevant- and using this as an excuse to not get vaccinated is a lame-ass excuse.

Now no excuses. Go get vaccinated for COVID and help save yourself and children from getting it from you. Also stop gripping about wearing a mask for all your trivial little reasons. It doesn’t matter if your Republican it’s time to use your common sense. Ween yourself off of FOX NEWS and research misinformation before you buy into everything they say. check out and compare for yourself what has really happened as opposed to what you have been told has happened. The truth will be your reward. As a result and with a clear conclusion of the facts you can vote Republicans who mislead you out of office and save our democracy.
