McCarthy’s choices to represent my Republican Party were chosen because of their extremist and disruptive view of what should be a nonpartisan and apolitical commission. But because of Kevin McCarthy is such a warped individual and because of his disturbingly distorted mind he BELIEVES we WILL NOT remember what he said along with other GOP congressmen about the desecration of our Capital terrorizing and torturing for over 6 hours at the INSISTENCE of Donald Trump on the 6th of January. I applaud republican Senator Roy Blunt who argued the days following the insurrection that “Americans don't need "alternative versions" of what occurred the day of the US Capitol insurrection, pushing back” on his Republican counterparts. "We don't need to try and explain away or come up with alternative versions. We all saw what happened," Blunt told NBC's "Meet the Press" when a mob of former President Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to stop Congress from certifying the 2020 election, clashed with law enforcement, ransacked congressional offices and threatened the lives of then-Vice President Mike Pence and lawmakers. Calling January 6 "a terrible day for America," the Missouri Republican said, "I think it was absolutely unacceptable and we can't let that kind of thing be repeated again in our country." And Here are just a few quotes from pro Trump supporters in Congress on 1/6/21 but now all they want is to just move on. Dispicable. Here are the quotes: Kevin McCarthy’s exact words “the President bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters”, Mitch McConnell said “an angry mob had been fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on earth because he was angry he lost an election.” & “…there is no question, none! That President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day. No question about it.” The people that stormed the building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president.” And lastly, Lindsey Graham said “I hate it to end this way…all I can say is count me out enough is enough” “The people who breached the Capitol committed a crime. They defiled their Capitol. That was not a peaceful protest, and I hope they all get prosecuted. This is not democracy. That was anarchy. I think it’s important to understand the difference between peaceful protest and a riot.” Where did the Republican honesty & backbone go. The Tea party Republicans of the Party better change their insincere 2 faced ways. The party can not be sustained on crazy. And because of the insanity republicans like me the (centrists) of the party don’t guarantee our votes go to republicans. We selectively choose candidates on their knowledge of government, integrity & moral values. And vote and have been voting a “ mixed ballot “ of democrats & republicans in EVERY GENERAL election. So just because voters are Registered (R) doesn’t mean they vote that way. Think about it.

The GOP is acting like the investigation into the Capitol attack is a vote in the Senate. That's not what it is. People on the committee to investigate the attack should be people who have not already made up their minds about what happened.

What a joke. He picked two of the most coca supporters of stealing the election. They will do nothing but obstruct and might be involved in the whole thing anyway. Pelops I will reject. The republicans will stall for more picks and then accuse the dems of not wanting to be bipartisan. Same old dance. Just run over them and get this done!

Kevin McCarthy chose people he knew would cause problems. That’s why I am so glad that Jim Jordan especially was pulled off the committee. The other one (Banks) I believe is his name I just heard he is a potential witness that is why he was taken off. That’s a justified reason. (So I am editing my comments I was wrong in my first statement) it was nothing negative on him. Adam Kinzinger should have been on the Committee he would’ve had an open mind and been looking for the truth to put people on there that are not looking for the truth and are only there to block and protect Republicans are not there for the people they are there for themselves. That is not the purpose of this committee this committee is set up to find the truth find out who all was involved. If anyone in the Congress or Senate are complicit they need to be prosecuted and that’s the problem with these Republicans they know which of their caucus are complicit and they don’t want them to be exposed. They certainly don’t want their demigod DT to be held accountable.
