Ousting Cheney was the final break with the old Republican guard (one I never supported, but at least they werenā€™t out to destroy Democracy) and a full-throttled ride into a trump-infused party that is a delusional, illogical, unethical horse-and-pony show.

I applaud Liz Cheney for saying what she believes, we should have many more politicians do that. For all the left/ right complainers- this space is to express opinions NOT to demean people with childish BS responses. If you canā€™t manage that maybe you should go back and pass 6th grade this time. What do you all think has caused all the name calling, rabid responses, fake news, political inaction and divisiveness? WE gave away our power over our own government/ politicians by fighting with ourselves AND we are losing. Reading the original responses to the questions, what would you do as a parent if your children acted this way in public?

What is happening to the Palestinians is an absolute atrocity and the U.S. should immediately stop funding and supplying arms to the IsraelĆ state. Every Palestinian civilian murder was backed by our own tax dollars. The reason why State officials claim that this is a ā€œcomplicated issueā€ is because if governments were to call out the heinous war crimes against Palestinians, we would have to look deeply at our own legacies of colonial fascism and address the impacts that continue to ripple into today. For those saying ā€œViolence needs to stop on both sidesā€, there is no level ā€œbattle groundā€ here. The missiles from Palestine were in self defense and amount to almost nothing in comparison to the level of defense and power arms that Israel has -funded by us. Bombing schools, religious sites, and neighborhoods is not defending freedom in anyway. The presence of another ethnic group, who is indigenous to the land, is not a threat to anotherā€™s freedom. The fact that an Israeli can walk into the home of a Palestinian family and order them to get out or theyā€™ll face Israeli troops and watch their home be bulldozed in front of their eyes is not an ā€œevictionā€ and should trigger outrage internationally. Neoliberal fascism will have you thinking that ethnic cleansing is defending freedom because thatā€™s is what our own country is built on and I am sick to my stomach. This is not a complicated issue, just misinformation and propaganda that has propelled that narrative for the sake of keeping Israel an ā€œallyā€.

The US must condemn Israelā€™s unreasonable and disproportionate collective punishment targeting Palestinian civilians, their eviction of Palestinians from their homes, their annexation of Palestinian territory, and their deployment of white phosphorus, all of which are a violation of international law. The US must end our $3.8B/year funding of an ethno-nationalist terrorist state. ā€œNever againā€ means never again, not ā€œnever again unless we do itā€

A shameful day for the GOP when they publicly stand behind lies over truth.

Freethinker, Causes doesnā€™t pick who chooses to join here. The fact is, over two-thirds of us do NOT agree with the crap you spew. That is the reason you see so few of your ilks comments here. So few of you exist. Thank God. Your wannabe Dick-tator needs to go to hell - and soon!

Freethinker, if you canā€™t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. I call a spade a spade, if you donā€™t like it tough šŸ’©. I stand for truth and justice. Your Dump God does not. I only use words that apply. Too bad you canā€™t handle it. Your leaders berate us every day! Tit for tat, Buddy!

Freethinker, I truly believe that diversity of ideas is a good thing. Lies, misrepresentation and conspiracy theories are NOT. Big difference!

Iā€™m not an American who stands behind Israel every time she decides itā€™s time to kill more Palestinians. It is true that the land Israel sits on was once Judea, and then Palestine. It is also true that the land that is now Israel was carved out of what was not a Jewish State prior to 1948 when Truman recognized it. The history of Israel is a history of constant war, of never resolving with Palestinians a resolution of its statehood, of never granting Palestinians residing in Israel citizenship or voting rights. What has occurred is an apartheid state, a bully, which somehow we are politically aligned with for no reason. I ask you, what is the reason we stand up for Netanyahu who is using this dog fight to win an election

Rerun the Fairness in Orphan Drug Exclusivity Act, without the expedited process requiring a 2/3 majority. There is enough House support for it to pass along party lines.

Glowrum, Different perspectives or point of views does not equate to conspiracy or lies like the left frequently likes to say to discredit anyone else. I have data and statistics to back up what Iā€™m concerned about. If you were at all interested I can share that with you but you have already written me off and thatā€™s fine. None of your comments phase me I just see you truly suffer from TDS and hope you get over it soon. You seem to respond to me a lot so glad youā€™re reading my comments!!

Not a fan of Liz Cheney but itā€™s refreshing to see a Republican stand up for the truth. Which is why they got rid of her. Sorry state of the once respectable party. Sad but predictable

Causes: How come when Trump was in office, you couldn't get enough of asking what we thought about him; what he said, what he did, but you are silent about Biden. Perhaps you are under the same restraints as Biden. During a press conference, Biden said that he would get in trouble if he answered any non-approved questions, and his press secretary confirmed this. Who is really running this country?

Glowrum, This is an obvious left leaning site and I knew that joining. Diversity of ideas, thoughts and opinions is what makes us more informed thatā€™s why I joined. However your name calling and insults doesnā€™t add value to the conversation. I respect all opinions but your comments continue to be uncivilized. Have a good day.

Liz could shut the door on her way out. As for Israel, I support them 110%.
