If the Democrats want into office to make life better for American citizens, what do Republicans want to be in office for? If Republicans say the same thing, then why do they have to try so hard to convince people to vote for them?

How are we doing on payment and retraining for coal workers. The cleanup of abandoned coal mines and reclaiming the land. These folks have given their fair share contributions to the American people in mining coal fir factories, smelters and power plants. It is time to make sure they are covered with health insurance and unemployment compensation, along with money for retraining.

Please comment on the purposes of Congressional Recesses; too many people think that it means vacation. Also comment on the lack of Congressional Townhalls in, apparently, too many communities. Finally, comment on visiting one's local Congressperson's office (pre and post-pandemic). I'm tired of seeing the moaning from people failing to understand the processes.

Our founding fathers may DC home are the federal government. Washington DC belongs to the American people of United States the house Republicans and Democrats work for us. What’s next Puerto Rico this type of behavior cannot be tolerated and they must be held accountable for attacking the constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.

To my reps: Violation of water rights during a drought. Nestlé corporation should never have been allowed to take our water and sell it. Their contract expired in 1988 and should cease and desist immediately from continuing to take it, in reality, steal it. We are in a drought and cannot afford to give our water away. Please act! https://amp.desertsun.com/amp/7353217002

April 23rd, 2020: A significant and powerful moment in U.S. history. The day a sitting president of the United States used a press briefing to discuss the possibility of injecting disinfectant(which no one should ever do).

Why don’t the MSM give us daily updates on the COVID-19 figures like they did back before Inauguration Day? Here are the figures since January 20th at noontime to present. Cases 7,467,494 new cases yesterday 146,041. Deaths 301,504 new deaths yesterday 1,847. President Trump from the beginning of the pandemic to January 20th at noontime had the following in that 1 year. Cases 24,717,808 Deaths 274,761. Comrade Biden has been President for just 92 days. Yet he has the border wide open with thousands of illegal aliens coming across the border daily. They are not quarantined or tested but released to the interior of the country. This is a major spreader event. Comrade Kamala has not been to border town to see what is happening so she can advise her boss.

I have two major questions to ask. Firstly, what happened to the Stable Genius Act introduced by U.S. Representative Brendan Boyle in 2018 and 2019, which would have required to go through a physical and mental health evaluation and release the results publicly before the general election occurs. Its full name was Standardizing Testing and Accountability Before Large Elections Giving Electors Necessary Information for Unobstructed Selection act. Both times that it was introduced, it was referred to the House Committee on House Administration, but no real response or action was ever taken on this. This bill was worthy of congress's time, but it appears to me they never made any real consideration of passing it despite the good it would do to protect the public's wellbeing. Also can Causes please make an article discussing policies and laws related to the physical and mental health politicians in power and or this specific bill. Secondly, why does there seem to be an overwhelming tendency for the government and most political parties to downplay the threat posed by Speciesism to this country and the rest of the world. There is a massive pile of evidence demonstrated by various instances, such as the death of Buddy the German Shepherd from New York (Link: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/first-dog-to-test-positive-for-covid-in-us-dies?cmpid=org=ngp::mc=crm-email::src=ngp::cmp=editorial::add=SpecialEdition_20200731&rid=2E2586BAE661E8499F67BCAB2ADEACC3), that suggest there is a significant deficit in terms of the accessibility, quality, and cost of the animal health care system in this country. Most pet insurance companies apparently seldom cover preventative care across the board and instead only focus on covering emergency costs. Why cover emergencies when you could have prevented the problem before it happens and in turn potentially cost of providing such care? I remember when my dog died. It was in the evening; he had been fine all day, but when I walked into the room, I could tell he was quite unwell. He was unable and couldn't prevent himself from going to bathroom. My family rushed to find him an animal hospital, but it took longer then expected. What should have taken between two to six minutes took twenty to twenty-five minutes. It appears that humans can get access to emergency healthcare facilities much faster and receive better quality care then other species can in most cases. Another issue prevalent on the Speciesism front is unreasonable discrimination against other species. An unfortunate recent example is how the media has been treating some incidents related to one of President Biden's dogs, Major. The media has attacked the dog repeatedly, portraying the dog as being aggressive and a danger to people's safety, when in truth the issue was facilitated due to an issue related to lack of training and the damage caused was little more than a minor scratch; not really worthy of the public's attention or time (links: https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/30/politics/major-biden-dog-white-house/index.html; https://www.npr.org/2021/03/09/975510911/major-faux-paw-from-the-white-house-to-the-dog-house). Is it for the government to please reform these systems and attempt to counteract unnecessary discrimination when and where it occurs? Can causes please consider writing articles discussing the issues that happened to Buddy and Major; as well as discuss the situation with the animal healthcare system in this country.

I received an email from the DCC asking me to forward and April priorities survey to three friends. Since many of my family and friends are Republicans, I thought I would post the link here instead. Copy of the message and link are below: Thanks for completing your survey today. We have one more favor to ask: Will you forward this to 3 friends? Ask them to share their thoughts via our April Priorities Survey, too. https://action.dccc.org/survey/april-2021-priority-survey Thanks, DCCC

Reported in today’s Independent https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/dc-statehood-republicans-racist-black-voters-b1836504.html “When House Oversight Committee Ranking Member James Comer stepped up to speak against legislation granting statehood to America’s capital on Thursday, his message was clear: Residents of Washington, DC should not be granted full representation in Congress because of who they might elect. “America’s federal government should be of the people, by the people, and for the people. But with HR 51, America’s government will become of the Democrats, by the Democrats, and for the Democrats,” he said, referring to the bill number inspired by the goal of making Washington DC into America’s 51st state. He added that the bill is “all about… Democrats adding two new progressive US Senators to push a radical agenda… to reshape America into the socialist utopia they always talk about.”” Um,... The residents of DC aren’t part of “the people”? It seems to me that with gerrymandering and - at last count I read - 273 bills designed to make it harder for people in certain groups that lean toward voting for Democrats the Republicans are aiming for “of the Republicans, by the Republicans, and for the Republicans”. Democrats are not socialists just because they support an agenda that supports the poorest and most vulnerable of us. European countries that operate on democratic principles like ours, including the ones that are regularly rated at the top of research looking at the well-being and happiness of citizens (Denmark, Finland, The Netherlands, and to the best of my memory Norway) all have the social programs like welfare and universal health care that Democrats embrace and the Republicans label “socialist”. There’s nothing wrong with being pro-social. If Comer has a crystal ball that allows him to see into the future, I’d like to know where he got it. No. I don’t. Can we just enact term limits, please? And campaign finance reform and transparency. ( By the way, who gutted the bipartisan campaign finance reform that their own John McCain sponsored? The Republicans!) That way, no seat could be held forever by one person as is possible now. Money would not drive legislation and regulation, at least to the degree it does today. No, I don’t think Republicans are evil. I do think that they, their political strategies, and their stands on taxation, health care, and prosocial programs are representative of the selfishness and greed so prevalent in certain segments of our culture today. And the hypocrisy and dishonesty so many of them in office and the RNC shamelessly and flagrantly display offend, infuriate, and nauseate me.

If we are trying to remove all the carbon dioxide from our atmosphere is this good science? Don’t plants and trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen? If we all just breathe in and don’t breathe out that nasty carbon dioxide will this help. Should all animals on earth including baby seals and polar bears be killed because they can’t understand that they can’t breathe out? This is serious with the now climate emergency. As AOC told us back in 2015 that it is so bad that if we don’t get this new green deal the world will end in 12 years. That is just six years away and we have done nothing.

Every politician in Washington, has a group of people that work for each one of them, who do you all of the work, and then just basically give them an explanation and what’s going on. And then these politicians vote, none of the research of the work they have done. It’s the people that are working for them they do the actual work. I think an investigation needs to go on by the American people and who we have an office. do we really know who were voting for? The news media just not always or ever tell the truth. They leave out what they don’t want the American people to know. And a lot of them make up as they go along. One of the best ones CNN, We can’t even trust our news media. It used to be the news told both sides of the story, they were not politicians that’s what we have now. And it’s mostly for the Democratic Party.

Why aren't Congress members required to hold in-person town hall events? We want to see our representatives and senators take hard questions on camera so we can see and hear that they're facing voters.

OK, got a different issue... so pretty much 'Off Topic' (come on Causes, this is a TOPIC)... After years of realizing the mistakes from years past, SCOTUS has now decided to return to the 20th century of fear. Apparently, led by Justice "K'oors'anaugh", children are and have always been irredeemable (didn't we see his 'childish' defense during HIS confirmation???). ... Probably a lot more poor decisions in the waiting... thanks mitch/dump... Reuters, Lawerence Hurley .... Why does Congress make 4 times more than the average American, and yet get vast amounts of vacation and time off? How can we think they actually represent us when they make so much money for so little time in the office?

This is a serious question: do members of Congress ever vote against their own belief because they know it’s not the view of their constituents? What criteria do they use to decide how to vote?

Is there any momentum around a Balanced Budget Amendment/Debt Control or Congressional term limits? Both of those have been floating around to various degrees for some time now.
