Welcome to Thanksgiving 2020, jive turkeys, turkeys, and tofurkys...
President Trump tweeted Wednesday that he is granting a full pardon to his former national security adviser, retired General Michael Flynn:
"It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon. Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!"
Flynn was appointed as national security adviser on January 23, 2017, but on February 13, 2017, Flynn resigned after it emerged that he misled FBI officials and Vice President Mike Pence about conversations he had with the Russian ambassador during the presidential transition.
Flynn admitted that he lied about those conversations, pleaded guilty to charges that he made false statements, and cooperated with Special Counsel Robert Muellerâs investigation.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) released a statement which read in part:
"Donald Trump has abused the pardon power to reward his friends and political allies, and protect those who lie to cover up for him. This time, Trump has once again abused the pardon power to reward Michael Flynn, who chose loyalty to Trump over loyalty to his country."
Do you agree or disagree with Trumpâs pardon of Michael Flynn?

And, in the EndâŚ
We know Thanksgiving is problematic to some (greetings to those participating in Unthanksgiving Day), so we end on an event from a November 26 in the past.
On this date in 1917, the NHL was officially formed in Montreal, Canada.
Stay safe, stay warm, stay sated, stay thankful,
