What’s the story?
- The impeachment trial of President Donald Trump will conclude around 4 p.m. ET today with an expected vote to acquit Trump on two articles brought by the House: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Article 1: Abuse of Power
- 52 Republicans voted NOT GUILTY.
- 47 Democrats and 1 Republican (Mitt Romney) voted GUILTY.
Romney is the first senator in U.S. history to vote to convict a president from the same party in an impeachment trial.

- Republican Sen. Mitt Romney said Wednesday afternoon that he’ll vote to convict President Trump on the first article of impeachment: abuse of power.
