What’s the story?
- GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska has said she’s "disturbed" by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s assurance that they’ll be “total coordination” with the White House on impeachment.
- Earlier this month, McConnell (R-KY), told Fox News:
"We'll be working through this process ... in total coordination with the White House counsel's office and the people who are representing the president as well as the Senate.”
- President Donald Trump was impeached by the House for abusing his power and obstructing Congress in regards to his conduct with Ukraine.
- Murkowski – who has also criticized the Democratic-led House impeachment process – said she remains undecided on how she’ll vote in the Senate, but decidedly wants a “full and fair process.”
"For me to prejudge and say there's nothing there or on the other hand, he should be impeached yesterday, that's wrong, in my view," Murkowski said.
