It is disappointing to see a leading women’s fitness retailer use child labour to make the fabric that goes in to making your clothing. This would cost you very little to make and you are selling clothes for high prices, like $80 just for a pair of tights. I wonder if the women that are buying your clothes know that your products are made by exploiting child labour? Most of these women have kids, and you have kids and yet you are still buying your clothes made by children who work 15 hours a day in extreme conditions, with few breaks and little, if any pay. These workers are facing real health concerns and safety risks- some factory workers in developing countries even die on the job.
You must stop sourcing your products from manufacturers who exploit child labour.

The issue that these kids around the world are facing is they are forced or made to support their family by going into child labour and are not even given a safe workplace. These kids can be as young as five and have to deal with things such as chemicals, broken and unsafe machinery. We need to make the conditions for these kids better- what they get paid, hours they work and conditions they work in- you can set the standard and be an example for other brands. Child labourers are losing their childhood- when can they go to school or be a kid when they are working such long hours?

Now I am not saying to stop child labour, because believe it or not it would make big problems for a lot of people. It is important for families to have an income source, and sometimes it comes down to children to provide this income and support their family. Therefore it is vital that working conditions are appropriate for children. As a first world country we need to start looking into the clothes we are buying and making sure that manufacturers like you are establishing and upholding high standards so these kids can live a better life.

You need to take action Lorna, because as I said before most of people that buy and wear your clothes have kids, and even child deserves a chance to be kid and to have an education so they can make a better life for themselves and their family. We need to make sure these kids are coming home safe and healthy. We need to make sure they have enough time to do at least three days of school a week, but we need to do it in a way which won’t cause any harm to children or third world families and communities. We must also aim to protect the interests of the Australian retail industry. I am asking to make sure the places you are getting these clothes from are doing the right thing with child workers, because presently this is doubtful. .

we need to change the way we think and do things. It is 2017 we should not have child labour. If kids need to work to help their family we need to improve their working conditions to create a safe working environment.

Lorna Jane needs to take action about where she is buying all the fabrics from because they need to face the fact that a lot of the customers who are inspired by the company's products have kids. If they knew how the products are created they would not want to be buying and support Lorna Jane.

Lorna Jane is about empowering women yet they exploit child labour. It must be known how many people are against this so change will occur. s
