Sign the Petition to

Ontario Parks Board of Directors

Every year, there are over 650,000 million animals bred and slaughtered in Canada. In Burlington Ontario alone, 10,000 four to six month old pigs are slaughtered in a day at Fearman's Pork slaughterhouse on Appleby Line. Factory Farming is also a significant contributor to the destruction of our environment.

A five minute drive from the slaughterhouse is Bronte Creek Provincial Park. This park is beautiful and a treasure of Burlington, except for one thing; they breed farm animals.

Parks should not breed animals that are already bred by the millions for slaughter. Parks should be a place where we respect animals and the environment. If the park wants to have farm animals in their park then they should take in rescued farm animals and let the animals live out their existence at the park, or give them to local sanctuaries rather than send them to slaughter.

Signed,

Lori Croonen
