Grizzlies where once on the bring of extinction due to our rapid expansion west and the over-hunting of this keystone species that is so essential to the health of mountain west ecosystem.

Now via sound conservation and protection of the grizzly bear their population has been stabilized and they are again a vital part of the American West. Because of these measures you have proposed delisting the grizzly from the endangered list. This should indeed be celebrated!

However delisting should NOT mean grizzlies should be allowed to be trophy hunted. Please inclide an absolute ban on hunting these amazing animals in any delisting of the grizzly. Hunting of these bears is totally for trophy hunters nothing more. It's unnecessary and cruel. We're almost lost this species once, lets not make this mistake again.

Signed,

How this will help

Delisting the Grizzly Bear is a big deal! These bears have recovered over the last 40 years from the brink of extinction. however delisting does not mean hunting and the USFWS should keep the ban...
