Prakash Javadekar, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change

Dear Prakash Javadekar,
I want you to take action and expand the tiger reserve. The State Governments has sent proposals to declaring the following areas as tiger reserves: (i) Suhelwa[9] (Uttar Pradesh), (ii) Mhadei Sanctuary (Goa), (iii) SrivilliputhurGrizzled Squirrel Wildlife Sanctuary / Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary / Varushanadu Valley (Tamil Nadu), (iv) Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary (Arunachal Pradesh) and (v) Cauvery-MM Hills (Karnataka).I am demanding that this issue be given priority and that the areas be declared tiger reserves in the immediate future.

This action is needed because tiger natural habitat is being reduced and they are likely to suffer extinction. You are the minister of environment for the Indian government and the tiger is your national animal. It is your obligation to help out and make a difference.

Tigers are becoming extinct. 70 percent of the world’s tigers live in India. It is estimated that only 3000 are left in the wild all over south East Asia. By declaring these tiger zones you will be reducing the stress on the tigers because of the bigger environment they have. By making the tiger zones bigger you will help increase the population number of tigers in India and help rescue the species from the critically endangered category.

You are in the best position to do something about this action. Tigers are becoming extinct and majority of remaining tigers are in India. It is your duty as the head of Indian environmental issues, to protect your national animal and icon for your country. If they go extinct the world will lose a beautiful animal and an alpha predator.

Yours sincerely,
Robert Simpson

Robert Simpson
