The petition reads:
Dear Abercrombie & Fitch leadership,

Indonesia’s rainforests are being destroyed for rayon, viscose, modal and other fabrics. These forests are home to endangered species––like sun bears and clouded leopards––and are also vital to the lives and livelihoods of Indigenous and local communities.

The link between fashion and forests cannot be ignored. As long as Abercrombie & Fitch does not have a strong policy governing how it procures these fabrics, it is possible that Abercrombie & Fitch is unknowingly driving forest destruction and human rights abuses in some of the world’s most critical ecosystems.

I urge you to take immediate action on this critical issue. As Abercrombie & Fitch transforms itself to meet the needs of the next generation, it is the ideal time to prioritize environmental stewardship. Take action today to develop and implement a strong policy which will ensure that forest destruction and human rights abuses are never found in Abercrombie & Fitch’s supply chain.

Signed,

Rainforest Action Network
