We the undersigned urge Craigslist to do the right thing and immediately implement a policy prohibiting "free to a good home" ads for animals.
Please implement a policy prohibiting ads that give animals away for free. Animals adopted through "free to good home" ads are often placed in extremely dangerous circumstances, where they are neglected, abused, and, in some cases, killed.
Two very disturbing animal cruelty cases where Craigslist has been found to have been used include Puppy Doe in Quincy Massachusetts (2013). Puppy Doe was severely tortured. And, now another new case in Reno Nevada (July 2014) where a man obtained several dogs from Craigslist and dismembered them- these cases sadly highlight the URGENT need for Craigslist to immediately cease these Pet Ads.
Sincerely..

Signed,

Radoslaw Czerkawski obtained Puppy Doe in Quincy Massachusetts - he tortured her to the point where when she was found she had injuries so severe she had to be humanely put to sleep.

Now Jason Brown in Reno Nevada has been found in a Motel to have dismembered some poor dogs obtained through Craigslist.
