Sign the Petition to

Lakewood Municipal Court, Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio

William J. Galvin, a repeat drug and alcohol offender, is currently "suspected" in the senseless death of 36 year old David Nageotte of Lakewood, Ohio. In the early hours of July 4, 2014, William "Billy" Galvin drove his 2002 Audi under the influence of alcohol and ran down David as he was walking to his home from his parked car. Not only did Galvin not slow down, or stop, he went home just down the street, parked his car and went to bed.
After a police investigation and determining the Galvin's vehicle was involved in the incident, he was arrested and taken to the Lakewood City Jail where he was given a $10,000 bond. Needless to say, his bond was posted within hours and he was restored his freedom until he is to appear in court again on July 14, 2014.
Not only does the decision to offer a low bond need to be reconsidered, his temporary freedom between court dates needs to be reconsidered as well. He paid $1,000 for his freedom, David paid with his life.

Signed,

Tam Lettieri

By signing this petition, it can be submitted to all courts, judges and prosecutors involved to provide a graphic example of how William Galvin's decision to drive drunk has not just taken one life, it has effected the lives of countless people who knew David Nageotte. Drunk driving penalties need to be stronger and those who kill while driving drunk should lose their freedom until a court of law decides their fate.
