Along with all 2.4 million Sierra Club members and supporters, I support strong administrative action on climate to protect my family and my community. Thank you for making climate action a top priority in your administration.
I am happy to see that the EPA is moving to reduce climate-disrupting carbon emissions from new and existing power plants. Carbon pollution is a main contributor to climate disruption, which fuels extreme floods, heatwaves, droughts, storms and wildfires, and is linked to life-threatening air pollution like asthma-inducing smog, making it a serious hazard to Americans' health. Power plants that burn coal and natural gas are our nation's single biggest stationary source of this dangerous pollutant. It's past time to put limits on the amount of dangerous waste polluters can put into our air.

President Obama promised that his administration would take action to confront the climate crisis -- and now the EPA has finally proposed the first-ever safeguards against carbon pollution from our nation's aging power plants.
This is a big deal, and the big polluters know it.
This is the beginning of what could be the biggest climate fight in history. Fossil fuel billionaires are mobilizing like never before. They're already sending their lobbyists to Washington and spreading their fear-mongering talking points on Fox News. You'll see their misleading ads on TV and hear them on the radio.
Don't let the fossil fuel billionaires get the last word. Flood the White House with 10,000 messages saying that America is ready for strong climate action!
