Indonesian Prime Minister

Dear Indonesian Prime Minister,

We believe that saving the Sumatran tiger is a very important issue. We also believe that you are in a position to take action to address this issue.

The Sumatran tiger is one of the most endangered tiger species, there are only around 400 of its kind still alive today. They are holding on for survival in the remaining patches of forests on the island of Sumatra. Deforestation and poaching are the main reasons for why this elegant creature is on its way to extinction, just like the Javan and Balinese tigers.

Your government will be judged on its ability to stop these beautiful beasts from becoming extinct. The eyes of the world are watching! Obviously it is time that action is taken to stop tiger numbers decreasing. We ask that you employer more rangers to stop illegal poaching of the tigers and the illegal logging that destroys their habitat. This will stop the decreasing numbers of tigers and help save these animals. In addition, by enforcing these matters you would show the world that tigers can be saved and avoid extinction.

We trust that you will act promptly on this matter.

Yours sincerely,

James Stevenson
