Jason is known as "The Birdman of Granville Island" (Vancouver, B.C. Canada) and has become somewhat of a local icon. He comes everyday, around 1:00 p.m. to feed the pigeons and other birds at the Granville Island Market. Many other people also feed the birds there and seed is bought within the Market from various vendors. Jason finds that feeding the birds, as he puts it: "gives me a reason to get up in the morning...." You see, feeding the birds helps him to fight severe depression and has enriched his life and gives him great joy. Apparently due to a resident of this ritzy area going to the Administration office and requested that Jason not be allowed to sit and feed the birds, the Market has decided to tell him that he is not welcome there and must not come anymore to feed the birds there. They are threatening him with legal action if he persists. They do this in spite of the fact that many others continue to feed the birds there, and are not told to stop, nor are they continually threatened with legal action. Jason's human rights are being violated as they are judging him by his appearance. He is of little means and does not fit the ideals of the uppper middle class area known as Granville Island Market. This is totally unfair. Please stand up for Jason, the Birdman Of Granville Island and sign this petition that he be allowed to feed the birds.

The signed petition will be taken by me to the Administration Offices of Granville Island Market and I will present it to their Chief Administrator, Kyle Robertson.
