- Stop insisting the words of the 9 NSmen who witnessed the abuse of the dog in Pasir Ris Camp by their Lieutenant Colonel as untrue/unfounded.
- Punish the Lieutenant Colonel for the abuse and the threats against the 9 NSmen (that they will be charged of they speak a word of it).
- Revoke the charges against the two NSmen.
Please properly investigate the incident in Paris Ris Camp.
Where the statements of 9 NSmen who witnessed the animal abuse incident committed by their Lieutenant Colonel were deemed untrue and unfounded.
Lieutenant Colonel's cruel actions against the stray dog were unnecessary and vindictive. We do not condone this kind of action. Not only was he abusive toward the dog, he further threatened the 9 NSmen that he would charged them to secure their silence. He has a strong lack of empathy and blatant disregard for other living beings and abusive in his methods. He should be punished and removed from his position.
Please revoke the charges against the two NSmen.
The video taken did not and will not compromise the safety of our Nation.
There is no reason to charge any of them except for the Lieutenant Colonel.
We need soldiers who have empathy toward others. And I'm sure every other NSmen want people like that beside them. Because if one day, they really need to go to war, they knew they have someone to watch their backs and will risk their lives to make sure they are okay.
Mindef lied to an animal rescuer to disclose the identity of one of the NSmen
who took the video of the dog being tied up by saying it's for investigation purposes and no charges will be filed.
Instead what they did after knowing the identity was to charge the NSman for videoing it and seeking help for the abused dog, and also charged a senior officer for letting the NSman out of camp to contact the animal welfare group (Animal Lovers League), while the Lieutenant Colonel who was the abuser was let off scot-free with both AVA (Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore) and MINDEF (ministry of defence) insisting the statements of the 9 NSmen to be untrue and unfounded. Even though they were witnesses to the abuse and was threatened to be charged if they were to speak a word of the incident of it to anyone.
Help us by signing this petition that we do not tolerate animal abuse in Singapore, irregardless of their position or status.
