What I am asking is if just for one month trial that you remove all Palm Oil products from you supermarkets to raze awareness and hopefully send a message to the industry that we don’t want to support the industry. You are probably aware that more than 50% of your supermarket products contain the ingredient of Palm Oil. You are probably also aware the Palm oil industry is very big and is destroying the natural rainforest and removing animals from the habitats in South East Asia. If this action goes ahead the sales from this products for the whole Australia will be down and the food companies will take action on this issue.

Countries like Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand are destroying their natural rainforest to farm Palm oil, which is forcing endangered animals to relocate and die. Big cooperation's are ruining these forests for massive profit and selling the products that contain palm oil without clear labelling. The world's growing appetite for cheap palm oil is destroying rain forests and amplifying climate change. Sawing down trees is far too much work to clear a forest especially when big corporations want to do things the cheapest way, to get maximum profits. The cheapest and easiest way is to burn down the beautiful rainforests. When burning a green planet it creates greenhouse gasses and it ruins the Ozone, causing global warming.

You are the one responsible for supporting this issue on behalf of Australia, because of you the Citizens of Australia are unconsciously buying these products. Only you have the power to say no to the industry by cutting of the supply of Palm Oil products.

We the undersigned demand that you stop selling Palm oil products for one whole month in all Australian stores, forcing the food companies to find alternatives for this destructive practice.

Signed,

Matt Naumann
