I write today to request enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) against the law-breaking facilities called out by the Animal Legal Defense Fund. Due to the horrifying nature of the conditions documented by the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), ALDF requests that USDA revoke the licenses of these facilities, confiscate suffering animals where authorized, and assess appropriate civil penalties for past violations of the AWA.
We are calling on you to enforce the Animal Welfare Act against the following facilities:
Heavens Blessings in Bancroft, Nebraska
Linda Hager in Crab Orchard, Nebraska.
Antech, Inc. (Barnhart)
Simply Puppies (Hannibal)
Hill Top Kennel (Clark)
Cloverleaf Kennel (Willow Springs)
Ignatov-Radokhov and Victor Radokhov in Columbia (Warren County)
Deloris and Dick Richards in Marshall, Minn., Facility No. 41-A-0016
Harries K-9 Ranch in Alpha, Minn., Facility No. 41-A-0023
Clearwater Kennel Inc. in Cushing, Minn., Facility No. 41-B-0190
Animal Legal Defense Fund
Puppy mills are inhumane breeding facilities which often produce puppies with physical ailments and behavioral problems due to the intense, unsanitary confinement and overbreeding practices endemic to these facilities.
In order to shut down cruel puppy mills your support is needed, please sign the petition telling the USDA to hold law-breaking facilities accountable to the law.
