How this will help

During the annual State of the Union address the President lists out his goals and agenda for the upcoming year. Letting him know we prioritize early learning will make sure it stays at the top of his list too.

On January 21, one week before the State of the Union address, we will be calling on the President to include early learning in his speech by participating in a Twitter action with advocates across the country.

We will be tweeting photos of people who believe that all children should get a #StrongStart at the President! Help us by following these 3 easy steps.

1.       Print out a #StrongStart sign: Signs are available at

2.       Take a photo with the sign. Feel free to get creative – you could have children strike a "strong muscles" pose or make a funny face.

3.       Send your photo to [email protected] by Monday the 20th or tweet your photo at the President (@WhiteHouse) using the hashtags #StrongStart and #SOTU on January 21.

The more photos we're able to tweet, the more likely it will rise to the President's attention. So send in and tweet as many photos featuring different people as you'd like and forward this request to your friends and family.

We will be tweeting your great photos on the hashtag #StrongStart from 10am – 5pm on January 21. Please let Suzanne at [email protected] know if you have any questions.
