Custom Culture is a national high school shoe customization contest sponsored by VANS shoe company. Schools from all over the United States compete for a chance to win money for their art programs. The first 2,000 schools to register will receive four pairs of blank Vans sneakers to be customized by their students.
The Top Five schools will be flown to New York City for an exclusive final event where the winner will be selected. The grand prize winning school will receive a $50,000 prize for their art program and the chance for their shoes to be produced and sold in Vans' retail stores. The four runner up schools will also receive money for their art programs.
Vans recognizes that art can help develop the critical thinking, collaborative, and creative skills necessary to succeed in today's ever-changing world, and continues to provide resources to ensure that art is a part of all students' lives. Please do your part to Keep the Arts in Public Schools by sharing this opportunity with high schools in your community.
