Please reconsider your controversial new shark-mitigation program, which utilizes drum lines - baited hooks attached to floatation devices for the purpose of catching and killing sharks larger than 9 feet - in an attempt to control shark attacks. Not only does this method threaten the conservation of endangered sharks, but it also poses a deadly threat to other marine life, including dolphins, turtles and countless other species, endangered and otherwise. Instead, please redirect your resources toward ongoing research and support of non-lethal, non-threatening, effective methods to deter sharks from beaches and tourists, including visual, electrical and vibrational technologies. By doing so you can join the world in shark conservationism and become a part of the bigger picture of living in harmony with our beautiful planet.
