HPV is real, not in just women, but men. Men who have sex with men are at risk for developing anal cancer. At Stage "0" it can be stopped from spreading. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor for an anal pap smear. Ask questions, know your options. My doctor said he found atypical cells. They can be just that or be a precursor to cancer. He said that we would keep an eye on it... I trusted that he knew what he was doing. I went from a Stage "0" to a Stage "II" in a year and a half.
