We are requesting tax-deductable donations for a scholarship fund to help planet-passionate but poor young adults to participate in the inaugural course for the Institute for Regenerative Learning. The program will help students to:
Develop a deeper sense of personal purpose
Learn tangible skills leading to making a living
Learn about regenerative science and design
Work with seasoned mentors in a collaborative atmosphere
All faculty are donating their time because this is a cause they believe in. 100% of donations will go directly to reducing the costs for the students ($695 for the five days of lodging, meals, classroom space and materials).
The faculty include:
Elaine Valdov, Ph.D, Ph.D, UN NGO Committee Chair (1996-2000), Secretary General of the UN Youth Assembly and a central figure in the develompent of the UN Millennium Development Goals.
Howard Moody, on the Faculty at the Omega Institute, founded Adventure Game Theater and uses play for team building, leadership, stress reduction, creativity and wellness.
Brandon Costelloe-Kuehn, Ph.D, is a Professor of Sustainability, Design and Innovation at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He researches and teaches systems thinking, effective communication and collaboration and the relationship between the environment and human health and well-being.
The program will be held from October 29-November 3, 2013, at the Hancock Shaker Village in the Hudson Valley
The Institute for Regenerative Learning combines educational programs, cooperatively run social enterprises and the design and implementation of regenerative food systems.
